Cette  ancienne  ligne  a  été  mise  en  service  le  19  février  1905

Fermeture  totale  au  service  voyageurs:  le  4  novembre  1969

A  Pithiviers  elle  était  en  contact  avec  les  anciennes  lignes:
-  Pithiviers  -  Malesherbes  (19  km)  mise  en  service  le  14  septembre  1868
-  Pithiviers  -  Les  Aubrais-Orléans  (43  km)  mise  en  service  le  18  août  1872
-  Pithiviers  -  Toury  (33  km)  mise  en  service  en  1892
Cette  ligne  était  à  voie  étroite  de  0.60  m
-  Pithiviers  -  Beaune  la  Rolande  (21  km)  mise  en  service  le  27  octobre  1902

Engenville  (+  7  km)
Audeville  (+  10  km)
Sermaises  du  Loiret  (+  13  km)
Estouches  (+  19  km)
Méréville  (+  21  km)
Saclas  Saint-Cyr  (+  26  km)
Boissy  la  Rivière  (+  29  km)
Saint-Martin  d'Etampes  (+  35  km)

Horaires des trains au printemps 1963

Service assuré par autorails de 2ème classe uniquement
Les trains desservaient toutes les stations et haltes de la ligne

Train 482 - Pithiviers 6.34 Etampes 7.30 - Quotidien
Train 486 - Pithiviers 11.18 Etampes 12.12 - Quotidien
Train 488 - Pithiviers 18.10 Etampes 19.06 - Quotidien

Train 483 - Etampes 7.46 Pithiviers 8.44 - Quotidien
Train 485 - Etampes 12.41 Pithiviers 13.39 - Samedis
Train 489 - Etampes 13.59 Pithiviers 14.57 - Sauf les samedis
Train 487 - Etampes 19.33 Pithiviers 20.33 - Quotidien
